Asset Support Activities Metrics Hierarchy
Links asset availability to the £ cost of the support activities behind it, to give ROI. Developed for Defence equipment, it works across any asset or domain.
We take a systems view of through-life support: who does what, when, at what cost and with what return. Then we help you put your effort where it gives the biggest gain in asset availability.
Most organisations know their support costs. Far fewer can say which support activities buy them the most availability. Our methods make that link visible, so improvement money goes where the return is highest.

A structured way to set out and compare the options for how assets are supported, so decisions rest on evidence, not habit.
A clear, ranked list of improvements, showing what each one costs, what it gives back and what can be afforded now.
Practical plans to raise the capability of the contractors and suppliers your support depends on, prioritised and costed.
A straightforward sequence, scaled to the size of your organisation and the question you need answered.
Keith founded Keith Rushton Consulting in 2024, after leaving the Ministry of Defence in August 2024.
At the MOD he led ESCIT, the MOD's internal Equipment Support Continuous Improvement Team and its "Premier Practice" consultancy. There he created the ESAMH for Defence equipment. That thinking is now the ASAMH, the Asset Support Activities Metrics Hierarchy: the method at the heart of KRC's approach to linking support cost to availability, for any kind of asset.
ESCIT's motto, and still ours: "academic rigour applied in practice".
KRC now brings the same approach to other domains and markets, from energy, automotive and rail to people-focused services and not-for-profit organisations: wherever assets, whether equipment, infrastructure, facilities or people-based services, have to be available and support has to be paid for.
You need experience to get a job;you need a job to get experience.
CampusConsult breaks that loop. Postgraduate students take on paid, real-world assignments for businesses, guided by KRC's support-improvement method.
